However, there is at least one bricks and mortar company which has enough muscle already online to push strong growth–Walmart (NYSE: WMT) which rates second in web traffic among retailers. That leaves crumbs for most competition.
Walmart has set a system, based to a large extent on its massive customer base and marketing budgets, to drive people online with run-of-the-mill free shipping and lay-away plans. The fact that people can pick up at stores what they have ordered only enhances that. And, the brand it has built with a foundation for “everyday low pricing” continues to capture the low income and middle income shopper. A look at its sales numbers compared to the balance of the industry shows the extent of its overwhelming presence.

Bally Tech (BYI) is probably the best known of companies involved in gambling hardware. In 2012, 35% if its revenue came from product sales, and another 41% from leasing that equipment. The balance of its revenue came from services related to game and player monitoring. It is well on track for a record fiscal 2013, which again ends June 30. I am looking for revenues of right around $1.0 billion; never before have revenues been even $900 million in a fiscal year. Profits for this year are likely to be $145 million, or $3.45 per share, which would also be a record by a comfortable margin.

It may seem like a sort of unlikely choice, but mid-cap gambling device designer Bally Technologies (BYI) is topping off our list today. Bally is capping off a stellar run in 2013, after rallying more than 72% since the start of the year. But don't worry if you missed the move; the technicals point to even higher ground in the short-term.
That's because Bally is currently forming an ascending triangle pattern, a bullish price setup that's formed by a horizontal resistance level above shares and uptrending support to the downside. Basically, as BYI bounced between those two technical price levels, it's been getting squeezed closer and closer to a breakout above resistance. The breakout happened just before Christmas, and it's giving us a buy signal this week.
Momentum adds some extra confidence to the setup in BYI: 14-day RSI has been trending higher since early October, an indication that buyers have been piling in at an increasing rate as the pattern developed. If you decide to jump in here, I'd recommend putting a protective stop at the 50-day moving average.

The study met its primary endpoint by demonstrating that a pre-specified Oncotype DX DCIS Score can predict the risk of local recurrence, defined as either the development of a new invasive breast cancer or the recurrence of DCIS in the same breast. In December 2011, the Company made Oncotype DX available for patients with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), of the breast, a pre-invasive form of breast cancer. In January 2012, the Company presented positive results of the first clinical decision making study of the Oncotype DX colon cancer test that shows that Recurrence Score result has a significant impact on treatment recommendations for stage II colon cancer patients.
